We have recently started working with the critically endangered Laysan Teal. There are between 500 and 800 left in the wild on a few small islands near Hawaii. Due to their limited range, they are susceptible to disease outbreaks and weather events, such as hurricanes and typhoons. We are working to stabilize the captive population. We are selling items on eBay to help us with our goal. You can check them out here. All proceeds will be used for the Laysan Teal project. We will update this page with our progress.
Update February 4, 2021: We have sold over $50 in merchandise on eBay during January 2021. The proceeds will be used to build a new flight aviary to house the birds. We hope to have it completed by Spring.
